Vents Holiday Party (Dec 21st)

Just a reminder that we will be celebrating the festive season this Wednesday at St. Basil’s Cultural Centre (10819 71 Ave. – the same place we had our Halloween party). We understand that this week is a busy one for school holiday concerts, and will certainly understand if you cannot make it. For those who can come, we have planned a fun evening of crafts, treats, seasonal-themed games and holiday singing. Parents, feel free to join us for a holiday singalong at about 7:40 p.m. as we close out the year in style.


We are back at the School on January 11, 2017 at 6:30 PM.  Please have a fun and happy holidays and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Vent Skate (Dec 7th)

We will be meeting at the George S. Hughes Arena at 10525-72 Ave. we will be there for public skate from 6:30 to 7:30. To maximize the skate time feel free to show up before 6:30 to put your skates on.

Vents - Leadership Training (Nov 16th)

Vents will begin their leadership training this week.  Each Vent will be working with each section as a junior leader and will meet with their advisor for Wood Badge 1 Leader Training,

Vents Halloween Party (Nov 2nd)

It is time for us to put on our best costume and have a fun and scary 24th Parkallen Halloween Party.

Our meeting will be at St. Basil's Cultural Centre  10819-71 Ave starting at 6:30 pm in the Pioneer Room.

Vent Swim 2016 (Oct 26th)

Venturers will be going for a swim this week at the Commonwealth Recreation Centre Pool (11000 Stadium Road, attached to the Commonwealth Stadium, home of the Edmonton Eskimos!!!!) starting at 6:30 PM. Please dress warm and bring change for the locker rental.

Venturers Annual Fall Nature Walk (Oct 12th)

Venturers will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week to take part in our annual Fall Nature Walk through the Parkallen Neighbourhood. We will be delivering flyers for our upcoming Bottle Drive / Food Bank Drive taking place on October 15th. Please dress in uniform and dress for the weather.

No Vents Meeting this Week (Oct 5th)

We do not have a regular Vents meeting this week.  We will be back at the Parkallen School on October 12th at our regular meeting time.

Vent Fall Camp Prep (Sep 28th)

Vents will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week with their Advisor.  Please have your activity plan and risk assessment ready.  Vents are planning events for the Scouts and all sections for this weekend's camp.

Vents Get Corny (Sep 21st)

The Vents will be taking on a challenge from the Scouts, Cubs and Beavers on who has better skills at navigating.  Best place to do this challenge is to enter the Corn Maze.  Vents will be doing this without the aid of compasses and with one hand tied behind their backs.  Please arrive at 6:20 pm at the Edmonton Corn Maze and dress for the weather and bring a flashlight.

Planning for Fall Camp (Sep 14th)

Vents will be meeting with their advisor this week and start working on plans for the upcoming Fall camp.  We will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week.

Vents Swim-Up (Apr 27th)

We will be meeting at Emily Murphy Park (11904 Emily Murphy Park Road NW) at the sheltered Picnic Site (on your left when you enter the park). We will be holding our Swim Up Ceremony and Volunteer Appreciation that evening. There will be plenty of food and fun for the whole family. The fun starts at 6:30 PM.

Vent Swim-Up Prep Cont. (Apr 20th)

Vents will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week for our final meeting before Swim-Up.  Final planning for the Great Edmonton Camp JOTT event to be done tonight.

Vents - Swim Up Prep (Apr 13th)

Vents are meeting this week to finish plans for the Great Edmonton Scout Camp and prepare for SwimUp.  Senior Scouts will be joining them this week to see what Vents is all about.

Vents Annual Spring Bottle Drive Flyer Drop (Apr 6th)

Vents will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week to take part in our annual Spring Nature Walk through the Parkallen Neighbourhood. Vents Pottery Night (Mar 23rd)

This week  the Vents will be meeting at Crankpots (10702 82 Ave, NW, Edmonton) for a night of painting.  Just a reminder that there is no meeting on March 30th.

Vents - Spring Hike (Mar 16th)

Since Spring has come early and the weather has been great it is time to go on a nature walk.  Vents will be meeting at Emily Murphy Park at 6:30 pm by the main building.  Please dress for the weather and after the hike we will have a fire.

Vents U of A Scavenger Hunt (Mar 9th)

Since the weather is soooooo warm and nice our Vents will be visiting the University of Alberta for a scavenger hunt. We will be meeting at 6:30 PM in front of the Administrative Building (Building 67).  Parking is $5 at Education Car Park (Building 104).   Please dress for the weather.

Winter Camp Prep - Vents (Feb 17th)

Vent will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week with their advisor.  Winter camp activities and picking lists need to be confirmed this week.

Vent Winter Camp Prep (Feb10th)

Vents will be meeting this week with their advisor to go over Winter Camp Prep and equipment inventory.

Vents Week (Feb 3rd)

Vents will be meeting with their advisors this week at the Parkallen School to go over vent events and preparations for Winter Camp.

Vent Skills Development (Jan 27th)

Vents will be meeting at the Parkallen School this week.  Vents need to be prepared to discuss with their advisor on which skills they plan to develop and test for in February.

Winter Camp Planning (Jan 20th)

Vents will be meeting with their Advisor at the Parkallen School this week to go over Winter Camp plans.

Leadership Week (Jan 13th)

Venturers will meeting at the Parkallen School this week and will be helping as leaders with their assigned sections.  This is where you will be able to teach us old leaders some new tricks.

Vents First Meeting of 2016 (Jan 6th)

Vents will be meeting with their advisor this week at the Parkallen School on Jan 6th to go over program plans for 2016.
